Underneath the hood, the 50kW GM Hughes Dolphin AC Drive System gives you
the power to merge easily onto freeways, maintain adequate speeds, and accelerate
with confidence. When not accelerating, the regenerative braking system
returns energy normally lost during braking back into the batteries, increasing
your range per charge.
The Electricar Sedan features driver- and passenger-side air bags, four-wheel independent suspension, rear door locks, dual-outside mirrors and full carpeting. The interior features quality appointments, such as reclining front bucket seats upholstered with Scotchgard™ fabric protector. Bumper level loading gives easy access to the 12.7 cubic foot cargo space.
A rugged steel unibody surrounds the entire passenger compartment and features reinforced pillars and side-guard door beams for added passenger safety. Battery placement below the passenger compartment for a lower center of gravity and four-wheel independent suspension provide enhanced road handling ability for a smooth, responsive ride. The Goodyear™ Invicta GL tires provide maximum efficiency and low rolling resistance.
Recharge the maintenance-free Hawker Genesis™ batteries anywhere with the on-board 110/220 volt charger or reduce charging time dramatically with the optional 440 volt off-board charger.
